A high court in Accra has directed the Achimota School to admit two students who happen to be RASTAFARIANS.

The school must allow the students pursue higher education there.

In separate rulings, the High Court maintained in unaltered condition the arguments of the students and asked that they are admitted.

The students were denied admission due to their hairstyle.

The Human Rights Division of the High court ruled that Achimota school performed an act of illegality in denying Tyron Marhguy and Oheneba Nkrabea admission on the grounds of their hairstyle.

The court has ordered Achimota school to immediately admit the two students and allow further their education.

At the same time, the Education Ministry has announced to draw a comprehensive program to cater for such issues after their Wesley Girls and Achimota hubbub.
